Source of Light and Shadow
Bill Kaysing (Moon Hoax Investigator):
" Unfortunately, the errors were made which are now being discovered"
The Conspiracy Theories point out that lighting, is the major flaw in the lunar
photos.
Kaysing point, on the moon the astronauts only source of light was the sun.
Jan Lundberg (Project Engineer, Hassalblad):
"They had no extra lighting no flashes nothing like that "
Yet in this photograph, from Apollo 14, the shadows are cast in different
directions suggesting multiple light sources.
Jan Lundberg (Project Engineer, Hassalblad):
"The shadows cast by the rocks in the foreground should have been east west like
film shadow"

And in this photo of Apollo 17, again the shadows are pointing different
directions.
The Shadows Intersects on this picture
Bart Sibrel (Investigative Journalist):
"Outside sunlight shadow goes always
parallel with one another, so the shadows never intersect "
Conspiracy theory says its not just shadows, that indicate the usage of decimal
lights, but what has been photograph in the shadow?
For example:

Here is an astronaut who descends into a huge shadow cast by the lunar muzzle.
His entire body is still visible, how is it that he is not shrouded in
darkness?

Here is the same in over from another Apollo mission, again the astronaut is
been brightly lightened obviously against the dark shadow.
In this picture, the sun is directly behind the Astronaut. The part behind the
source of light of the astronaut should be shaded behind the light.
Yet even the smallest characteristics of his suit are recognizable. We can see
another source of light reflecting through his helmet.
Jan Lundberg (Project Engineer, Hassalblad):
" It seems like they are standing in the spot light. And I can't explain that
ah.. that.. that this escapes me why?.. "
The sun behind the Lunar Muzzle, with bright shaded part.

The words United States are clear
The front of the crap is clearly visible the words United States is Crisp and
clear.
How could these back lit pictures be so detailed?
Bart Sibrel (Investigative Journalist):
"Its because there's more then one light source, which means they are not on the
moon. "
But NASA simply dismisses these arguments
Brain Welch (NASA Spokesman):
"There are number of claims ah... that the pictures taken by Apollo Astronauts
were faked and there are so many it would be in exercise vitally to go off
trying to answer all of those "
Dr. David Groves, who works for Quantech Image Processing and worked on some of the NASA photos. He said he can pinpoint the exact point at which the artificial light was used. Using the focal length of the camera's lens and an actual boot, he has calculated (using ray-tracing) that the artificial light source is between 24 and 36 cm to the right of the camera.
Challenges and responses
The color and angle of shadows and light are inconsistent.
-
- Shadows on the Moon are complicated by uneven ground, wide angle lens distortion, light reflected from the Earth, and lunar dust.
There appear to be "hot spots" in some photographs that look like a huge
spotlight was used at a close distance.
-
- Pits in moon dust focus and reflect light in a manner similar to
minuscule glass spheres used in the coating of street signs, or dew-drops on wet
grass.
